About Ramona

Ramona has been surrounded by fashion for more than half of her life.  As a child, she watched shows like "MTV's House of Style" and read magazines like VogueEssence and Seventeen.

As time went on, she worked in retail for nearly 10 years and then moved on to become a Fashion and Accessories Intern at SELF magazine. Through that internship, she obtained freelancing jobs as a Fashion Assistant and a Fashion Week Coordinator.  These positions have trained Ramona to become detail oriented, efficient, personable, and above all, appreciate the world of fashion even more.

Today, Ramona is still a fashion magazine connoisseur, catches up on the latest trends, and loves putting looks together with any budget.

Beauty Review: Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter

This is a product that I used a lot during the winter months and then decided to put it away.  However, my hair was feeling a bit dry that last couple of weeks, so I brought the HHB out of hiding and decided to give it a try.

Next to all of the other brands that I use (Wen, African Organics, and Mixed Chicks) this was a good product to put in in my hair once it was damp after a good washing.  Its consistency is like a cream with a drop of stickiness to it.  It also has a pleasant smell.

I sectioned my hair into four parts and just applied the butter from the roots down to the tips and just keep wringing my hair.  The amount I used was overall a good handful.  But as I applied section by section, I used my finger to scoop out a dollop.

For me it did the job.  My hair didn't looked a bit looser and very moisturized.  At the moment, I am 85-90% natural; by June, I plan on being 100%--so once that time comes, I'll be able to fully gage how well products work in my hair.  But this product is surely a winner for now.

Final review: ooh la la
