About Ramona

Ramona has been surrounded by fashion for more than half of her life.  As a child, she watched shows like "MTV's House of Style" and read magazines like VogueEssence and Seventeen.

As time went on, she worked in retail for nearly 10 years and then moved on to become a Fashion and Accessories Intern at SELF magazine. Through that internship, she obtained freelancing jobs as a Fashion Assistant and a Fashion Week Coordinator.  These positions have trained Ramona to become detail oriented, efficient, personable, and above all, appreciate the world of fashion even more.

Today, Ramona is still a fashion magazine connoisseur, catches up on the latest trends, and loves putting looks together with any budget.

Birchbox: The May Gossip Girl Editon

My morning routine consists of me checking my bank account balances.  When I noticed that my credit card was less $10 dollars, I immediately checked my previous charges and found that Birchbox was the prime suspect.  Usually I'd be irate--automatic charges without my knowledge of knowing that an auto charges are set to take place really bother me.  But right before I was about to make the call to cancel the $10 fee, I remembered that the May Birchbox was going to be a Gossip Girl limited edition feature.

On their BB blog, the company posted this news last week, and I remember that it peaked my interest.  They haven't revealed what will be in the box exactly, however, they did mention the brands Ojon, Dior and Stila.  So far so good right?  Also, the boxes will have different decoration themes: i.e. the starry night skyline (shown above), and a Hamptons beach theme.

Today they also shared a picture of the shipping packaging.  Usually the boxes are hot pink with the white logo, but they switched it up for the GG edition.

If you're interested in getting the May GG Birchbox, there is still time to sign up.  Just click the link here.  And if you're completely new to the Birchbox experience, you can read my post that details my first Birchbox encounter.

Lana Del Rey Covers S Moda And Looks Good Doing So

RamonaAlcantara reblogged this from THE FASH PACK and added:
Lana Del Rey Covers S Moda And Looks Good Doing So (THE FASH PACK)

Nobody seems to be able to get enough of Lana Del Rey. Mulberry have honoured her by naming their latest bag after her and as you'll remember, she's appeared on major covers from Wonderland to British Vogue's big March issue.

The singer's latest cover is for Spanish weekly S Moda, which she was shot by Simon Emmett. Francesca Rinciari did a great job in styling the singer in pieces from Balmain and Isabel Marant and as always, she looked really good. My only bug bare is the big disconnect with her styling in magazines and appearances compared to her off-duty looks. While it's unfair to expect her to look photoshoot ready during her off-days, her personal style doesn't carry the promise that she exudes in editorials.

What do you think?

Anna Dello Russo Accessories for H&M

This news has been gliding through the internet today, however, if you haven't fully heard it yet, the Fashion Director of Japanese Vogue will be designing a line of accessories for the Fall of 2012.

Her style is eclectic, and she is inspired by gold, charms, bold colors, and Alice in Wonderland.  And from the picture above showing a sneak peek of the collection, I'm already spinning in my seat for the sunnies and gold with turquoise clutch.

The line will be released October 4, 2012 in nearly 140 stores worldwide. The collection will feature jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, bags and a trolley.
